I like the value you get with the MEGA. Depending on how you purchase this panel, you can expect to pay $8.03 per watt, cheaper than Joovv and Hooga products.

The only drawback is that it only shines light in the 660 and 850-nanometer range, whereas the MitoPRO offers four bioactive wavelengths.

The last feature that stood out to me was the modular capabilities because it allows for endless flexibility. If you want a bigger panel, you won’t have to sell your MitoPRO 750. Simply get a MitoPRO 1500 and attach it to your current 750.

MitoPRO 1500

The MitoPRO 1500 is the biggest anel in the MitoPRO series devices. It’s a simple, high-power, low EMF and low flicker device that’s still affordable. The dimensions of the MitoPRO 1500 are:

When you receive the box, the first thing you’ll notice is the sleek packaging and design. It comes in a tall box containing red light accessories like:

When standing six inches away from the MitoMID, you’ll receive an irradiance of 100mX/cm2, more than enough to provide health benefits without damaging your skin.

I also like the two fans that Mito managed to fit inside the MID. When it senses the panel is getting too hot, these fans automatically turn on. This way, red light treatment won’t raise your body temperature much, which is essential if you do it before bed because heat makes falling asleep harder.

Unlike the MitoMIN that doesn’t come with a nightstand, you’ll find a small mount in the MIN box, allowing for easy positioning.

The only drawback to this series is it doesn’t offer the modular capabilities of the PRO and MOD. So if you want to upgrade your red light experience to a full-body panel, you can’t buy another MitoMID and connect the two. You’ll have to go for a light in the PRO or MOD series.

It comes with a power cord, goggles, user manual, door hanging hook, cable pulley system and steel cable.  

But when you’re adjusting the red light using the pulley system, I’d suggest avoiding pulling at the end of the steel cable because the MitoMAX is quite heavy. With lighter panels, it’s fine, but if the pulley has to carry 20 pounds and after a few years, it might give in.

So instead, move your panel up and down by adjusting the pulley. You’re holding most of the weight this way, ensuring your pulley lasts long.

Mito and Joovv are both practical options for red light enthusiasts. However, these brands have two different product design philosophies.

Mito focuses on building the strongest red light panel possible for the lowest cost. You won’t find advanced features like a mobile app when buying a Mito panel. But if you’re looking for value for money, Mito is your best bet. It offers one of the lowest dollar-to-watt ratios, clocking in at $8.02 per watt.

Joovv creates the most advanced red light panels, so the prices are higher than Mito. But if you’re willing to spend extra cash to have the best red light experience possible, Joovv is worth it. 

Joovv offers features like endless customization, a mobile app, red light alarm and upgradeable kit options.

Mito vs Hooga

Hooga red light panels are a mix between Mito and Joovv. It isn’t as expensive as Joovv, but it offers some customization and advanced features. 

But what sets Hooga apart is the additional red light items sold on their website like:

• Blue light blocking book light
• Rechargeable neck lights
• Hooga sleep light bulbs
